Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Good Boy! ("the app," "we," "us") is a single-player game made by an independent developer for kids and families. We built it to be simple and trustworthy: the app collects no personal information, contains no ads, uses no tracking, and works entirely offline. This policy explains exactly what that means.
Information we collect
None. Good Boy! does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. We do not ask for a name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera. There are no accounts and no logins.
Information stored on your device
To make the game work, a few small settings are saved only on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults). These never leave the device and are not visible to us or anyone else:
- Your high score
- Which dog breeds you've unlocked and which one is selected
- Whether you've seen the one-time tutorial
Deleting the app removes this information.
No tracking, no analytics, no ads
Good Boy! contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking software (SDKs). We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and we do not track you across apps or websites. Our App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."
No network connection
The app does not connect to the internet. Nothing you do in the game is uploaded anywhere.
Children's privacy
Good Boy! is designed for children and the whole family. Because the app collects no personal information at all, it is consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws: there is nothing for a child to disclose and nothing for us to receive. Any future purchase is placed behind a parental ("ask a grown-up") gate.
Third parties
We do not share data with third parties, because we do not collect any. If you choose to buy an optional in-app upgrade in the future, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; we never see your payment details.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app works, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. If a future version ever collected anything (it has no plans to), we would update the App Store privacy label and ask for any required consent first.
